CALM 84 Charity Match a huge success

Bromley Football Club recently hosted a charity match in support of our good friends at CALM 84.

The London based Charity team train once a week with the aim of increasing awareness of Mental Health issues and prevention of suicide. The group play occasional fixtures, and were delighted to host one of these at their local Club!

Founder Martin Webb commented; “We’re really, really pleased with how it all went. I genuinely could not have thought of anywhere better for us to play this match than our local club that we all support Bromley FC, and to raise money for the Community Sports Trust as well as the Tommy Crush Foundation”.

The fixture was played under the lights on the Stadium Pitch, with over 100 people in attendance and all proceeds from ticket sales going towards good causes.

“We’re also really proud to raise money for Teenage Suicide Prevention, and long may it continue. A big thank you to Bromley for looking after us on the night, the team made us feel so at home.

“We really cannot wait to get in there and make the event bigger and better, and to raise more money for mental health and suicide prevention organisations, as well as the Bromley FC Community Sports Trust”.

The group also hosted their one year anniversary training session at Hayes Lane, a night enjoyed by all who participated.
